Vascular Calcification Symposium and National Major Project Initiated in Shenzhen

On December 1, 2025, the Vascular Calcification Symposium and the launch meeting for a national science and technology major project on Four Major Chronic Diseases were held in Shenzhen. The project, titled Optimization Strategy for Revascularization Based on a Coronary Artery Calcification Precise Risk Stratification Model is led by Professor Hui Huang, vice president of EAH-SYSU.

The launch ceremony was attended by Professor Dongfeng Gu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professor Zhongzhi Tai, Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University; Liping Zhou, Deputy Director of Public Hygiene and Health Commission of Shenzhen Municipality; Wei Huang, Director of Social Development Science and Technology Department of Science, Technology and Innovation Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality; and Shunyan Huang, Director of Futian District Health Bureau.
