EAH-SYSU Designated by GBA “Hong Kong and Macao Drug and Medical Device Transit” Policy​

On December 8, 2025, The Eighth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University (EAH-SYSU) has been included among the 27 newly designated healthcare institutions in the fourth batch of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) “Hong Kong and Macao Drug and Medical Device Transit” policy. The list was jointly announced by Health Commission of Guangdong Province and the Guangdong Provincial Medical Products Administration.

Under the policy, designated healthcare institutions operating in the GBA are allowed to use Hong Kong-registered drugs with urgent clinical use, and medical devices used in Hong Kong public hospitals with urgent clinical use.
